I miss Jim.  Was he funny and full of life or what?  Remember when he broke his collar bone during a  football game?  Course, then he went on to marry Teresa Cross, one of my best friends so I enjoyed many years seeing Jim.  It was devastating when he passed.  Miss you Jim.broken heart  Vic

I thought I already posted a comment,  Oh well.  Here goes again.  I miss Jim.  He was so full of life and fun!! I remember when he broke his collar bone during a football game and they hauled him off the field on a stretcher. I hurt for him that night.  Then he went on to marry Teresa Cross, one of my very best friends, so I had a lot of years of enjoying Jim. It was horrible when he passed.  I felt so bad for him.  Love you Jim

I was deeply saddened by Jims passing. I Still think a lot about him and the great times we had playing ball and paling around at Napa High and at UNC. He was such a good person. Always friendly and very giving. He would always offer to babysit for me when we were in college in Colorado because he knew how tight finances were for all of us. He was a real fighter when he became ill. It was really had to accept because he was still so young.

Something that many of his friends weren't aware of is that among Jim's many attributes, he was a very accomplished fly fisherman and outdoorsman. He was just great human being.
I will never forget him.

Ken and I miss Jim, too!   Our senior year; Both guys were coaches for powder-puff football!   Oh, what fun times!

At night school, at NVC, Jim tried to make a move on me while Ken was gone!   Ha-Ha!

Jim was such a great guy!  Friendly, handsome, outgoing and intelligent!   He was a good husband to Teresa!

I also had the pleasure of working with him at BofA!

Jim..... what a great friend you were. Taking that turn on dry creek road on two wheels and we survived. Nice save man. Driving up to Reno in a blizzard on Friday night to loose a pay check in two hours. Going to the 49's game when they lost to the Packers. The best bowling hustler I ever saw and so many more memories. You are missed but never forgotten

Jim and Teresa, and some photobombers :-), at the Decade of the '60s reunion. I love this picture. They both look so happy, and they are surrounded by loving friends. This is just how I want to remember Jim. He was one of the best people I have ever known. You will be missed at the reunion, my friend, and I'm sure your name will pop up a lot when people are reminiscing about the good times.

The only thing more luminous than Jim's smile was his radiant heart, generous spirit, and quick as lightning mind. What a lovely man. I am grateful to have known and loved him. He holds a place in the heart of many.

Ok. Memories. So I am envious of many of you with brilliant memories and wonderful stories. My memories are not so far reaching and certainly fading. But on this day I remember Jimmy. Today is Jimmy's birthday. I think of him every year on this day. My brother's bd is on the 3rd so I always think about Jimmy on this day. Happy Birthday Jimmy. We were best buddies in elementary school. We played tetherball at recess along with Jay Keith, Walt Monthei, Warren Landis, Pat Hughes, Billy Buckner, Linda Trader, Danny Albrect, Patsy Raby, and all the gang. Jimmy or Billy seemed to always win. Jimmy was athletic even as a boy. I wasn't. Jimmy's Dad Ralph and my Dad worked together. Jimmy's sister Anne was as sweet a person as Jimmy. She was really nice to me when were kids. Jimmy's Mom Prisilla liked me even though I was a bit on the Eddie Haskel side on things. Jimmy's family was very friendly and social. I was invited to dinner a couple of times and maybe to a picnic. At about 8 or 9 years old I had a sleep over at his house. He had bunk beds. I was scared to death and wanted to go home. I think we were in cub scouts together. I didn't last too long for that engagement. Memory fades. We remained fast friends until Ridgeview. Then just friends in Napa HS. During HS, Jimmy and I both had 62 Chevys. Jimmy's 3 speed transmission went out.
We pulled it out and rebuilt in my parents garage. In 1967 or so, Jimmy's Mom got a new Ford Fairlane. Jimmy came over in the Fairlane and we raced on the highway to train tracks near Quinnlin Tire shop. Me and my GTO. I think Jimmy won. Jimmy stood up with me at our wedding. Happy Birthday Jimmy my friend.
